THE JONES'S 1949 Hammersmith town hall
THOMAS JONES my 2nd great grandfather was a bit of a mystery man born abt 1830 in the city of London parents unknown.
The first records I have for the Jones family is the marrriage between Thomas and Isabella Rounding (my 2nd great grandparents)
on the 8-Nov-1853 in Woodford Essex. age 24 a Commercial Traveller no father name on the certificate.
I have records for him in the 1861 and 1871 census and that this all.

THOMAS ROBERT JONES my great grandfather was born on the 8-Oct-1854 at 22 Church street Lambert Surrey.
He married Frances Harriet Payne on the 1-May-1876 at Saint Philips Battersea.
Children are Ada Frances born 28-Nov-1877 at 46 Lockington Road Battersea. Rosina 1879 Battersea, Jessie 1881 Battersea.

His second marriage was to Elizabeth Miller nee Gilson on the 28-Jul-1884 at Saint Philips Battersea.
Children are Maud Isabel 1887, Thomas 1889, Richard 1891 all in Battersea.

His wife Elizabeth was buried on the 25-May-1899 in Morden Cemetery.

His third marriage was to Lily Martin on the 19-Sep-1901 at saint Andrews Earlsfield.
I believe Lily only had one child my grandfather Ernest Albert Jones born on the 28-Apr-1903 at 49 Russell street Battersea.
Unfortunately Lily died on the 13-May-1903 of 1. Merbilla (8 days) 2. Pneumonia (6 days) 3. Puerperium (16 days)
Lily was buried on the 18-May-1903 at Morden Cemetery age 26 (on the death certificate her age is 28)
In 1871 T.R.J was a Van guard , from 1876-1884 a Painter , 1891 Decorator , 1901 census house painter & Decorator,
