LIZZIE FLORENCE ELSWORTHY: My great grandmother was born on the 6-Dec-1875 at 98 Keppel street Chelsea London.

Lizzie was baptism on the 27-Oct-1878 with her sister Ada at Saint Luke church Chelsea.

Father Alfred a House painter Mother Elizabeth formanly Booker.

I do believe Lizzie attended Whitelands collage in the Kings Road Chelsea.

In the 1881 and 1891 census she was living with her family at 98 Keppel street (now Sloane Avenue).

In 1891 at the age of 15 she was a Dressmaker

She Married Edgar Stanley Dale on the 8-Mar-1896 at Christ church Chelsea.

At the time of her marriage and in the 1901 census she was living at 81 Hazelbury Rd Fulham.

Her children are Thomas Alfred 27-Apr-1896 - 20-Feb-1943, Elizabeth 26-Aug-1899 - 1986 , Rose Edith 30-Sep-1901, Edgar Frank 8-Jan-1905 , Claude Douglas 29-Mar-1907 - 1979, Frederick 19-Mar-1910 - 1983,

She died on the 29-Oct-1940 in Uxbridge.

ALFRED ELSWORTHY: My Great great grandfather was Born on the 10-Feb-1845 and Baptism on the 23-Mar-1845 at St.John Baptist Frenchay Bristol Glos.                                         Birth Ref: Clifton Mar 1845 11 343

In 1851 He was age 6 living with his parents in the parish of St. John the Baptist Frenchay and attending school.

In the 1861 census I do believe Alfred was staying with is brother Reuben . age is down as 19 and he also down as Reuben Son and Working as a House painter. The address is 20 Wallington Place Lambeth Surrey.

At the age of 18 he married Elizabeth Booker on the 3-Aug-1863 at St. Saviour church Chelsea London. Both ages are down as full Both living at 59 Walton street Chelsea. Alfred is down as a painter. Marriage Ref: Chelsea Sep 1863 1a 365.

In the 1871 census 98 Keppel street Chelsea Alfred and Elizabeth ages are both down as 28. Alfred is down as a House Decorater.

In the 1881 census 98 Keppel street Chelsea Alfred and Elizabeth ages are both down as 37. Alfred is down as a House Painter.

In the 1891 Census 98 Keppel street Chelsea Alfred age 47 and Elizabeth age 46 . Alfred is down as a Decorater .

Elizabeth died abt 1893 with her giving different ages in the census her birth year must be 1843-1845, I ended up finding her birth in 1838.

Alfred second marriage was to Maria Elizabeth Piper Ref: Greenwich Jun 1898 1d 1815.

In the 1901 census 1 Laina villas St. Paul Deptford age 57 and a Painter.

Alfred died in 1904 Ref: Camberwell Sep 1904 1d 561 age 59.

FREDERICK: My Great great great grandfather was born abt 1797 in Henbury Gloucestershire.

ARTHUR ERNEST ELSWORTHY: A first cousin twice removed was born on the 15-Dec-1890 in Chelsea London. To Walter & Louise Lewis.

In the 1891 census age 4 months he was living at 12 Jubilee place Chelsea.

My 1901 the family had moved to 15 Upcerne Road Chelsea SW10.

He was a small man at 5'4" with a 37" chest Brown hair and eyes with a Fair complexion.

He Joined the Royal Navy in Dec-1910 and served on many ships in his long career.

He started is career as a stoker second class within five years he was a leading stoker.
